The NFL Wild Card weekend is upon us and it has four teams from each conference fighting for a chance to extend their season and continue their dream. For the Kansas City Chiefs, they’ve rode the back of franchise running back Jamaal Charles all year long and were looking to him to make an impact in their game against the Indianapolis Colts.

But on the first drive of the game, the Chiefs suffered what could be a very serious blow to their dream season as Charles suffered what could be a concussion after having his head bounce off the turf on a play.

There’s no saying what the injury is to Charles, as he could have just had the wind knocked out of him, but he appeared to be getting concussion protocol tests on the Chiefs sideline which isn’t a good sign. Just because he’s getting checked out though doesn’t mean he has a concussion, as the NFL is being very serious about head injuries.

However, Charles was seen being taken to the locker room right after his hit which doesn’t bode well for his return to the game for Kansas City.
