LeBron carded at Orlando bar, proclaims: ‘Look at my beard!’

Miami Heat and worldwide superstar LeBron James was reportedly carded at an Orlando-area bar while watching the Orange Bowl on Friday night, according to the Miami Herald.

Pretty hilarious for a guy that has looked over 21 since he was probably 12-years-old.  But, better safe than sorry when you run an establishment that serves alcohol, although how one could mistake the 6’8”, 240 pound James – with the beard and all – for under 21 is quite the mystery.

Via the Miami Herald report:

"LeBron James, who is eight years above the legal drinking limit at 29, was carded at an Orlando hotel bar Friday night while watching the Orange Bowl. James didn’t tell the employee who he was but was surprised to be carded. “Look at my beard!” he said."

While you could never blame this establishment for not doing their due diligence in ensuring no minors are served any sauce, perhaps the more intriguing question is how someone in the state of Florida doesn’t know who LeBron is yet.

James is, of course, a four-time National Basketball Association and reigning MVP.  Miami has won back-to-back titles, but perhaps it will take a three-peat for LeBron to be universally recognized in the Sunshine State.

Either that, or this employee is an Orlando Magic fan.
