The Indianapolis Colts scored 35 points in the second half and took the lead after trailing 31-10 to the Kansas City Chiefs at halftime.

Andrew Luck connected with T.Y Hilton for a 64-yard scoring strike to tie the game at 44 and Adam Vinatieri put the Colts ahead for good with the subsequent extra point.

Hilton sprinted past the Kansas City defensive backfield and went into the end zone untouched on a perfect throw from Luck.

Hilton had 13 receptions for 224 yards and two touchdowns in the game and Luck went 29-of-45 for 443 yards with 4 touchdowns and three interceptions.

Chiefs’ quarterback Alex Smith went 30-of-46 for 378 yards with four touchdowns and no picks with 8 of those passes going to Dwayne Bowe for 150 yards and a score.

The Chiefs and Colts combined for over 1,000 yards in this game with only 252 of those coming on the ground between the two teams.

Indianapolis shut down Kansas City on their final drive when a Smith pass on 4th down was caught deep down the sideline, but out of bounds.  Luck and the offense went into the victory formation and the Chiefs had no timeouts left — further fueling the Andy Reid poor time management gripes.

The Colts were down 38-10 after Smith’s 4th TD pass early in the third quarter but outscored the Chiefs 35-6 the remainder of the game.
