Thunder at Jazz final score: Utah upsets OKC 112-101
Gordon Hayward exploded for 37 points, 11 rebounds, seven assists, two steals and a block to lead the Utah Jazz to a 112-101 upset victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder at the Energy Solutions Arena in Salt Lake City, Utah Tuesday night.
Hayward was extremely efficient throughout the game, going 13-of-16 from the field and two-of-three from beyond the arc. It could have been even better for Hayward, but he missed four of his 13 free throw attempts.
Kevin Durant wasn’t nearly as efficient, shooting just 14-of-34 from the field and three-of-13 from beyond the arc, but he got to the free throw line 19 times, hitting 17, to finish with 48 points. Durant also had seven rebounds, five assists and four steals.
Six players scored in double figures for the Jazz (Derrick Favors 15, Marvin Williams 12, Richard Jefferson 10, Trey Burke 10 and Enes Kanter 10), who took a 12-point lead into the break and never looked back.
Reggie Jackson, who scored 20 points on six-of-14 shooting and had six assists, five rebounds and four steals, was the only other Thunder player in double figures.
The Jazz are now 12-25 while the Thunder are 27-8.
