While the Miami Heat were getting the good news that they will have All-Star guard Dwyane Wade on the floor when they take the floor against the New York Knicks Thursday night, the Knicks received some bad news.

According to Ian Begley of ESPN New York, Knicks’ center Tyson Chandler and point guard Beno Udrih will not play Thursday.

"Knicks center Tyson Chandler will miss Thursday’s game against the Miami Heat with an upper respiratory illness, according to coach Mike Woodson.Chandler has missed two games due to illness. His availability for Saturday’s game against Philadelphia is unclear at this point.Woodson called him “day to day” on Thursday. The Knicks will also be without point guard Beno Udrih on Thursday. Udrih suffered a knee injury in the Knicks’ win over Detroit on Tuesday. An MRI taken Wednesday revealed that Udrih has inflammation of the left tibiofibular joint."

The Knicks’ defense really struggles with Chandler off of the court and veteran Kenyon Martin will likely start in his place.

Udrih has provided some much needed depth at point guard.

The Knicks and Heat tip at 8:00 pm EST and the game is on TNT.
