It’s no secret that Ndamukong Suh is one of the league’s strongest defensive tackles, if not players in the game today.

He’s also been labeled as a dirty player and recently voted the league’s most feared. I mean, look at the man, he’s nothing but solid muscle and is paid to hit people.

Now according to NFL.com, the Detroit Lions and Ndamukong Suh have expressed some mutual interest when it comes to a long-term deal. Something that I’m sure we all expected sooner or later. If you’re running the Detroit Lions and haven’t through about locking up Suh for another five or six years, you need to be fired.

Suh is getting set to hit Detroit’s cap with a whopping $22.4 million in 2014. The 27 year old defensive brick wall could be asking for more than what Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle Geno Atkins received. Atkins and the Bengals were able to agree on a five year contract worth $55 million.

With Calvin Johnson and starting quarterback Matthew Stafford staying in town for a couple more years, it’s time to make sure Ndamukong Suh does the same.
