Knicks at Pacers final score: Indiana rolls 117-89

Lance Stephenson went off for 28 points, four assists, four rebounds and a steal and Paul George scored 25 points, grabbed seven rebounds, dished out three assists and blocked a shot to lead the Indiana Pacers to a 117-89 victory over the New York Knicks at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana Thursday night.

Carmelo Anthony finished with 28 points and seven rebounds while Tyson Chandler had 13 points, nine rebounds and three assists and Raymond Felton had 12 points, five assists, four rebounds and two steals.

However, Anthony scored 18 of his points in the first quarter. Although it did allow the Knicks take an early seven-point lead, the Pacers cut the lead to just one by the end of the quarter and dominated the second quarter, outscoring the Knicks 33-17, to take a 63-48 lead into the break. They extended the lead to 24 in the third quarter. In the fourth quarter, the Knicks cut the lead to 16 at 91-75, but the Pacers responded with a 6-0 run to push the lead back to 22.

J.R. Smith, who was benched in the Knicks’ last outing, had 12 points on six-of-12 shooting in 28 minutes.

The win improves the Pacers to an NBA  best 31-7 while the loss drops the Knicks to 15-23.
