The Washington Redskins continue to fill out their coaching staff, and will add University of Georgia inside linebacker goach Kirk Olivadotti, according to Seth Emerson of the Macon Telegraph.

Olivadotti is returning to Washington for a second stint with the team, having previously coached linebackers 2007-2010. He has been an assistant for the Bulldogs for the last three seasons, working with talent such as St Louis Rams outside linebacker Alec Ogletree.

The connections between Olivadotti and new head coach Jay Gruden are numerous. See if you can keep up:

  • Olivadotti worked on the coaching staff with Cincinnati Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis when Lewis was in Washington in 2002.
  • Jay Gruden was offensive coordinator for Lewis in Cincinnati.
  • John Gruden was offensive coordinator for Ray Rhodes with the Philadelphia Eagles 1995-1997, and Rhodes was defensive coordinator in Washington in 2000 when Olivadotti joined the staff as a defensive quality control coach.

It’s all about who you know!
