The San Francisco 49ers are set to take on the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Championship game this weekend. One thing that remains up in the air is whether 49ers cornerback Carlos Rogers will be available for the game. Rogers iso recovering from a hamstring strain.

“We’re hoping that he can get 100 percent healthy,” defensive coordinator Vic Fangio said Thursday, via the Sacramento Bee. “And then we’ll see exactly what his role will be at that point.”

49ers fans can hang their hopes on the fact that he made it through his second consecutive practice, a promising sign that he’d at least get limited snaps even if he won’t start. Having Rogers on the field in a limited role is clearly better than the alternative, which would be him missing the game entirely. The 49ers will update their injury report on Friday and we’ll look for any changes.
