After waiting almost an entire month to interview Denver Broncos offensive coordinator Adam Gase, and possibly even hire him, the Cleveland Browns are looking at the sad reality of another failed head coaching search. A day after Mary Kay Cabot stated that she was hearing Gase was leaning towards staying in Denver, Ian Rapoport form NFL Network is reporting that Gase may not even interview for the job.

This would not only mean the Browns head coaching search was an even bigger disaster that we all thought it would be, but it might cause fans to call for even more blood in the streets when it comes to Jimmy Haslam and Joe Banner’s management of the team. After firing Rob Chudzinski after just one season, both Haslam and Banner made it appear they knew what they were doing.

Banner and Haslam were pretty smug in telling the media and fans that they knew what they were doing in firing Chudzinski, which is why no one is sympathizing with them now. There’s no guarantee that Gase will blow the Browns off, but this head coaching search seems to have just gotten even more embarrassing than it already was.
