LaMichael James gets destroyed on punt return (GIF)

Ouch. That is all there is to say about the hit San Francisco 49ers punt returner LaMichael James took in the first half of the NFC Championship game against the Seattle Seahawks. James muffed a punt as he attempted to field the ball, but that was the least of his concerns.

Seahawks gunner Ricardo Lockette was sprinting down the field and crushed James as soon as he touched the ball.

James was lifted off of his feet from the hit and Lockette got away with a facemask that twisted James’ head as his body was contorting on his way to the ground. He remained on the field for a few minutes as he was getting looked at by the coaching staff.
