The Cleveland Browns continue to chase Denver Broncos offensive coordinator Adam Gase as a candidate to fill their head coaching vacancy, but a recent report should cause them to pump the brakes and realize it is highly unlikely that they will be able to lure him away from Denver.

After the Broncos win over the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship, quarterback Peyton Manning said that he and Gase will exchange emails at night to discuss new ideas that they come up with.

“That’s what I like about Adam,” Manning said, via NFL.com. “He’s always working, always thinking. We email each other at night ideas, and bounce ideas off.”

With such a comfortable job and an apparently great relationship with a quarterback like Manning, there would be no reason to believe Gase would leave his position for a franchise that has little direction.

Of course, he may be eager to finally get his shot, but the opportunity to work with a player like Manning will only help him gain knowledge over the next few years and he can eventually be a candidate for a much better job.
