When the Washington Wizards signed John Wall to a max deal over the offseason, it apparently inspired one of his teammates to want to re-sign with the team as well. According to USA Today reporter Adi Joseph, shooting guard Bradley Beal is happy with his situation in Washington and with the fact that John Wall is locked in long-term and that’s something that makes him want to stick around.

"“It’s good for the team,” Beal said of Wall’s contract. “He’s the leader. He’s the head of the snake. It just makes my decision that much easier, if I want to continue to play with him over the next couple of years.”"

Something that the Wizards have been lacking over the last few years has been stability. The tam hasn’t been any good for years now, but they have the young talent to make waves if they want to. Part of that lies in stability that will influence players to stick around, and Wall’s contract has apparently had that effect on Beal.

When he was drafted, Beal looked like he would give Wall the running mate he’d been lacking his whole career. It’s been slow growth, but there is chemistry between the two and that chemistry looks to be sticking around for a while.
