The Denver Broncos continue to prepare for their Super Bowl XLVIII match up with the Seattle Seahawks without kicker Matt Prater on the practice field. However, there is no reason for concern and the team fully expects Prater to be ready when they take the field on Feb. 2.

Prater has been dealing with an illness, so the Broncos are keeping him away from the team for the team being to avoid spreading the illness to other players on the roster.

“A combination of both, like most sick players. We sent him to the doc. They deal with it, give him medication. He’ll be fine,” Fox said, via ESPN.com.

Prater has a strong leg and has been a valuable weapon for the Broncos. This season, he has gone 5-for-6 and the team is hoping that he will be able to get healthy in time to suit up on Super Bowl Sunday.
