The Portland Trail Blazers are one of the best teams in the NBA and they have their amazing roster to thank for that. Not much has been amazing for the Blazers in recent years, but thanks to the play of Damian Lillard, Nicolas Batum and LaMarcus Aldridge, Portland is in line for a deep run in the Western Conference playoffs.

While this season has been fun for the Blazers, they are already thinking about the future of the team, and that’s a future many fans are hoping includes LaMarcus Aldridge.

According to Blazers owner Paul Allen, via Blazers Edge, the team is going to mull an extension for Aldridge this offseason.

"“I talked to [GM] Neil [Olshey] about those things,” Allen said, in reference to an extension for Aldridge. “As you guys know, at the appropriate time we’ll consider all those options. That’s usually when it’s time to look at an extension — after the season is over.”"

Aldridge has already expressed an interest in re-signing with the team, as have Lillard and Batum. If the Blazers can hang onto all three of their to players, there’s no saying how far they can take this little journey they’ve begun.
