The New York Knicks are in a weird position as they don’t know whether they should prepare for Carmelo Anthony to re-sign with the team or if they should start tossing fuel overboard knowing that he’s not going to be returning in 2014-15.

So many people have weighed in on the situation, from New York beat writers, to columnists in Los Angeles and even local stations all over the country. One voice we hadn’t heard was that of Melo’s wife La La, who spoke recently to Bravo TV about what she thinks is in store for her husband’s future.

La La’s quite were gathered by Ian Begley of ESPNNewYork.com:

"”I definitely think he will stay [in New York]. I know that he wants to stay and I support him wherever he wants to go. Listen, I used to live in Denver with him. If I can live in Denver, I can live anywhere. I just want him to be happy.”"

This doesn’t change anyone’s mind about their opinion of where Melo will go, but it’s an interesting perspective to hear someone from within Melo’s home speak on the matter. The Knicks don’t know what is going to happen, but La La’s words certainly don’t hurt the hopes that Knicks fans have of Melo returning in 2014-15 and beyond.
