According to a report from Chris Sheridan of SheridanHoops.com, two Orlando Magic players, power forward Glen Davis and point guard Jameer Nelson, are “likely” trade candidates as we approach the February 20 trade deadline.

"Again, there are a number of teams that could use a veteran floor leader to calm things down in the fourth quarters of tough playoff games, al though there are a limited number of teams that have the assets to make a deal that would be to Hennigan’s liking.Hennigan also has been trying to rid himself of Davis’ contract for more than a year, and a package of the players would represent $15 million in outgoing salary."

Sheridan suggests the Magic could bring back big man Emeka Okafor in a trade with the Phoenix Suns. The Suns are a surprising playoff contender and may have lost guard Eric Bledsoe for the season so a veteran like Nelson could help replace his production. Sheridan also believes the Suns would have to give up one of the picks they acquired from the Los Angeles Lakers in the Steve Nash trade.

Davis is averaging 13.1 points and 7.0 rebounds per game while Nelson is putting up 13.7 points, 6.7 assists and 3.6 rebounds per game.
