The Baltimore Ravens missed the playoffs this past season but only barely so. One area that needs improvement is at wide receiver, and general manager Ozzie Newsome plans on making wide receiver a priority.

According to Baltimore Sun reporter Jeff Zrebiec, the Ravens aren’t going to put off finding a receiver again this year and plan on either going high in the draft after Mike Evans or Marquis Lee, or big in free agency. Of course, big is only in terms of name and impact, not physical size, as Zrebiec states Julian Edelman could be a fit for the Ravens.

"The Ravens could use a physical and explosive receiver to work underneath, a player capable of making tough catches and breaking tackles en route to big plays. In a perfect world, think Boldin with a little more speed.Edelman has many of those characteristics. Evans and Lee are projected to, as well"

The list of receivers Zrebiec points out is long, as there are a slew of receiver hitting the market in 2014. Still, it appears the Ravens may look at going big with their choice of receiver, and that will be be something Joe Flacco is eternally grateful for.
