The New York Jets have a lot of questions to answer in the offseason and a lot of decisions to make. One decision concerns the future of kicker Nick Folk, who is set to become an unrestricted free agent in March.

Folk spoke to NewJersey.com and mentioned that while he’s keeping his options open, he’s not counting out a return to the Jets next season.

"“I think it’s just kind of going to be a little bit longer before anything happens there,” Folk said of any movement on a new contract. “I want to keep all the options open, but, yeah, we’ve been there for four years now. We like it. I love playing for Rex, and this year with [general manager John Idzik] was awesome, it was a lot of fun. It’s a good, young group of guys. We really enjoy New Jersey/New York. We’d love to stay; I think they’d love to have us stay.”"

Kickers aren’t usually hot commodities on the open market, although they do change hands quite often. Folk is a solid kicker that a few teams wouldn’t mind having, but it’s sounding like a return to New York is very likely.
