The NBA trade deadline is almost here, but teams are starting to take players off the block as much as they are putting players onto it. The Orlando Magic are a team that seems like they’d want to sell off their hot commodities to secure future pieces, but when it comes to one particular hot commodity, the Magic believe he’s a piece of the future.

According to Basketball Insiders Steve Kyler, the Magic won’t be trading Arron Afflalo as he’s viewed as a big piece go the future.

This is great news for fans who have fallen in love with Afflalo and his range lately. He made an appearance in the Three-Point Contest on Saturday and is a player the Magic clearly would be targeting if they traded him away.

So, naturally, the team has decided to just hang onto Afflalo and work from there.
