The Chicago Bulls were rumored to be active as the trade deadline approached, but those rumors seem to be nothing more than the the wind blowing between the buildings of downtown Chicago.

While some are still clinging to the hopes that the Bulls will add someone at the deadline, Sam Amick from USA Today states that nothing is in thew works for the Bulls and it appears things will stay that way.

The Bulls were rumored to be in the market to move guys like Mike Dunleavy, Kirk Hinrich and possibly even Carlos Boozer, but nothing is going to happen. The Bulls are back under the luxury tax and that was really their only goal. Once they got back under the tax, all moves ceased to be discussed, at least for the most part.

There’s a chance that the Bulls are getting calls still, but only a deal that blows them away will be made and that deal has to keep the team under tax or there’s no hope of it even being considered.
