The NBA trade deadline is less than 24 hours away and we already have teams looking to pull off spectacular trades. The Sacramento Kings and Brooklyn Nets pulled off a huge trade that sent Jason Terry, Reggie Evans and Marcus Thornton to new teams and that has a lot of teams in the NBA thinking about what they can do.

One team is the Dallas Mavericks, who are trying to wrestle Luol Deng away from the Cleveland Cavaliers. CBSSports.com scribe Ken Berger states that the Mavs have indeed been on the phone with the Cavs but may not have the assets needed to pull off a trade.

Deng may likely end up with the Mavs in the offseason, but Dallas wants him now for their postseason push this year. That doesn’t mean they’ll get him, but at least they’re trying.
