The Washington Wizards have appeared to shift their focus to acquiring New York Knicks’ point guard Beno Udrih, who has seemingly fallen out of favor in New York.
The Wizards have been optimistic and hopeful they can land Udrih to upgrade form current backup point guard Eric Maynor, who has been a disaster this season.
According to Alex Kennedy of Basketball Insiders, the Wizards have offered several different players in an attempt to land a point guard and he believes they can acquire Udirh before Thursday’s 3:00 pm EST trade deadline.
Wizards have offered Eric Maynor, Trevor Booker, Chris Singleton, etc. for backup PG. Beno Udrih makes sense, they pursued him over summer.

Last summer, Wizards offered the same contract to Eric Maynor, Beno Udrih and Mo Williams. Maynor accepted the deal first, so he was signed.

They definitely like Beno Udrih though, and he shouldn't be hard to get since he has fallen out of the Knicks rotation and demanded a trade.

Udrih is averaging 5.6 points, 3.5 assists and 1.8 rebounds per game this season.
