While the Seattle Seahawks relied heavily on their stout defense and Marshawn Lynch’s “Beast Mode” throughout their Super Bowl run, there is another young running back on the roster that has the coaching staff excited entering 2014.

At the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll was “really hyped up” about Christine Michael, who the team drafted in the second-round of the 2013 NFL Draft.

Michael was buried on the team’s depth chart last season, but Carroll labeled the second-year pro the team’s  “biggest breakout candidate.”

There is plenty to be excited about when it comes to Michael’s talent and the team views him as the running back of the future, but until something happens with Marshawn Lynch it is unlikely that he will get the opportunity to shine like many believe he will.
