When Jason Terry was traded from the Brooklyn Nets to the Sacramento Kings this past week, there were some questions about how down with the move he’d be. The answer turned out to be ‘not really’ and Terry will not be joining the Kings this season.

According to Jason Jones of The Sacramento Bee, Terry has elected to sit out for the remainder of the season in an effort to rehab his knee so he can sign with a contender in the offseason.

"Kings guard Jason Terry will not join the team this season, Kings coach Michael Malone said during his weekly appearance on the Grant Napear Show.Terry, 36, instead will rehab in Dallas in preparation for next season. Terry had left knee surgery in the offseason and hasn’t felt right all season, Malone said."

This was sort of expected, as Terry wasn’t happy about the trade to the kings and would rather collect a check and rehab for next season than play for a team that has no interest in winning anything his season.
