The New York Knicks failed to make a trade at the deadline this year but they still made some moves after the fact. It’s been game of additions by subtraction in New York as the Knicks decided to dump Beno Udrih and Metta World Peace over the weekend.

Now that he’s been bought out and is fee to sign anywhere, Metta will be looking for some work, bt he’s unlikely to find some in New York. According to USA Today NBA scribe Sam Amick, the Brooklyn Nets are unlikely to go after Metta World Peace with a 10-day contract.

While New York is a great basketball market, it appears that Metta World Peace wants to play for a serious contender and not just a borderline one. He’s reportedly interested in the Miami Heat and Oklahoma City Thunder, both of whom are much better options than Brooklyn.
