The New York Knicks failed to make any moves before the trade deadline last week and since then have been cutting players more than they’ve been adding them. But the roster spots opened up by the buying out of Beno Udrih and Metta World Peace this weekend were filled by Earl Clark and Shannon Brown.

According to Knicks scribe Jonah Ballow, the Knicks will be debuting both Brown and Clark on Thursday night against the Miami Heat. I believe those in the business call that baptism by fire.

The heat is definitely on the Knicks to perform much better than they have been this season as things are turning more and more toxic and it’s looking less and less likely that Carmelo Anthony will want to come back. Clark and Brown are hardly anything to get excited about, but if they help New York beat Miami, that could go a long way in helping this team finally get off the ground.
