Bennett along with Cliff Avril were two huge additions to the Seahawks defensive line in free agency last season and were instrumental in their march toward winning the Super Bowl this past season.
NFL Media insider Ian Rapoport tweets the departure of Bennett means that Chris Clemons is safe in Seattle.
As far as a potential landing spot for the 6-4, 271-pound 28-year-old defensive end, how about the Chicago Bears where his brother Martellus Bennett was signed by the team last season and is already a massive hit with the fans.
