The Florida State Seminoles are currently participating in fourth quarter drills in order to get ready for spring practice.

As well as things for gone for the defending national champions lately, they are without two very talented players.

Redshirt freshman Ira Denson, an offensive lineman who missed the 2013 season because of an injury, is not currently practicing because of an internal matter the coaches refuse to discuss.

“We’re going to evaluate how he does,” Seminoles’ head coach Jimbo Fisher told  The Orlando Sentinel. “He’s got to continue to do well, we want him to do well academically. If he does, he does. If he doesn’t, we’ll have to adjust.

Kain Daub, a true freshman linebacker that enrolled early, is not practicing either. He is having issues with the NCAA Clearinghouse.

“It’s not anything that he did academically, it’s a [NCAA] Clearinghouse issue that he’s having to clear up with a class,” Fisher said. “So he’s not eligible to be out here right now, but he’ll get through this and hopefully he’ll be here in the summer. He won’t be here in the spring, he’ll be in the fall.

“It had nothing to do with anything Kain has done. I don’t agree with it, but it’s crazy what they’re making him do.”

Daub is a 4-star recruit out of Sandalwood High School in Jacksonville, Florida.

Current Seminoles’ defensive end DeMarcus Walker, a former teammate of Daub’s at Sandalwood, had similar issues when he enrolled early one year ago.
