There is plenty of discussion about what the Houston Texans will do with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, but it looks like this are narrowing down to either defensive star Jadeveon Clowney or a signal-caller.

Many believe that the quarterbacks most likely to go No. 1 are Bill O’Brien favorite Blake Bortles or local guy Johnny Manziel, but there is still some open competition.

According to John McClain of the Houston Chronicle, the Texans are “seriously considering” Teddy Bridgewater, Bortles and Manziel.

Thanks to the NFL pushing back the starting date of the draft, there is plenty of time for the team to make the decision and we shouldn’t expect to receive a firm commitment on any prospect in the near future.

In the meantime, let the rumors continue to flow.
