Chivas USA Player Ratings

Dan Kennedy 6

A quiet effort from Dan Kennedy, with just three saves to show for it.

Tony Lochhead 6

Three clearances, three recoveries and 17 unsuccessful passes. Average, but passable effort from Tony Lochhead.

Eric Avila 6

Not very solid with his crosses (three unsuccessful crosses), but did defend the cross and had 37 successful passes.

Carlos Bocanegra 7

Earns a deduction for his yellow card, but he had five interceptions, eight clearances, six recoveries and 36 successful passes against just six unsuccessful ones.

Bobby Burling 7

A bonus for the game-winner is negated by a yellow card, but it was a strong performance from Burling nonetheless, with seven interceptions, seven clearances and five recoveries.

Leandro Barrera 7.5

Coordinated a number of strong attacks for the Goats, including one that resulted in a goal for Thomas McNamara. Only last 65 minutes, though.

Mauro Rosales 8

Man of the Match. Rosales never lost his swagger from Seattle, and while his crosses and passing was off at time, it was off against a game opponent in the Fire. Helped set up the game winner to Burling.

Agustin Pelletieri 6

21 successful passes against nine successful ones and six recoveries. Quiet afternoon for Pelletieri in his debut for Chivas USA.

Oswaldo Minda 7

10 recoveries, seven tackles won and a 78 percent pass success rate. A strong showing from Minda to start the 2014 season.

Adolfo Bautista 5

All hype, and nothing else. Just one shot off target and a blocked shot, to go with being subbed out after an unimpressive debut. Bofo who?

Thomas McNamara 6.5

Gets credit for the second goal of the match and also had two clearances and three recoveries.

Erick Torres 6.5

Opened up the scoring in a big way with a penalty conversion but had two blocked shots and nine unsuccessful passes against 23 successful ones.
