Tennessee Titans cornerback Alterraun Verner is discussing free agency on the Mad Dog Sports Radio show on Sirius XM 86. Verner had some interesting things to say, like he’d rather go to a team that can win then to a team that will pay him more money.
Verner: "I feel more compelled to go to a team that I think can win.. I haven't had that experience for the past four years in Tennessee"

Verner: "Money is (priority) but it isn't... I look at it differently.. Some look at it tangibly.. I look at it as more of a respect value"

And an interesting thought on his pay versus other players on the team.
Verner: "I would feel more obliged to go to a team that paid me $6 or $7 million and made me one of the highest-paid players on the team.."

Verner: "... than go to a team that paid me $8 or $9 million and I wasn't one of the highest-paid players on the team"

He also speculates about what teams he would like to go to.
Verner: "(Denver) would definitely be a good situation for me"

Verner: "I believe (the Jets and Giants) could both win... Jets were hot & cold last year.. the Giants had a down year"
— Mad Dog Sports Radio (@MadDogRadio) March 10, 2014
Verner: "(Playing for Rex and the Jets) could be a (great fit).. Revis and Cromartie both thrived in that system"
— Mad Dog Sports Radio (@MadDogRadio) March 10, 2014
Verner: "I would definitely consider (San Francisco).. they've been winning.. I just feel like that's not a direction they're going"
— Mad Dog Sports Radio (@MadDogRadio) March 10, 2014
Verner: "(New England) is definitely a possibility.. Jason's brother (Devin) has been lobbying for me (to join Patriots)"
— Mad Dog Sports Radio (@MadDogRadio) March 10, 2014
He also thinks signing will be quick.
Verner: "(Playing for Rex and the Jets) could be a (great fit).. Revis and Cromartie both thrived in that system"
