Late Tuesday night, a few hours after the 2014 Free Agency period got underway, reports began to flood in that the New Orleans Saints would not be cutting RB Darren Sproles, rather, due to high interest, they will more than likely trade him. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com, the Philadelphia Eagles may be a possible destination for the speedy veteran.

Sproles partnered with the innovative offensive mind of Chip Kelly is a scary thought. He’s already effective in the pro-style of Sean Payton, so there’s literally no telling what he could do under Kelly’s direction, especially when surrounded by other weapons such as LeSean McCoy, DeSean Jackson and Riley Cooper.

The only question going forward is what the Saints will ask in return, especially if he is such a hot commodity as everyone is saying.

But if the Eagles have what they want in the end, this would be a great move for both sides.
