NFL Rumors: Saints to trade Darren Sproles due to heavy interest

Could there be a strong trade market bubbling up for Darren Sproles?

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, there is a strong trade market for the speedy RB and the Saints are expected to trade him rather than outright release him:

Saints still haven’t released RB Darren Sproles and now plan to trade him due to heavy interest, per ESPN source. Not being released, though

It’s very interesting that the running back market has been so soft for RBs yet someone is willing to trade for Darren. It helps that he is a good pass catcher out of the backfield and can be used in a variety of ways.

I’m curious to see what the Saints can get back for him and where he lands.
