Darrelle Revis, New England Patriots agree to one-year deal worth $12 million

It certainly didn’t take long for veteran cornerback Darrelle Revis to find a new home, and it’s sure to make a lot of people angry as Revis has agreed to a one-year deal with the New England Patriots, according to Adam Schefter.
Revis was cut by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Wednesday after they couldn’t find a trade partner willing to deal with the $12 million that he was owed for 2014, and the Pats were a rumored destination from the start.
This will be Revis’ second stint in the AFC East, following his time with the New York Jets before moving on to Tampa Bay prior to last season. A reunion with the Jets was also said to possibly happen, but ultimately he’ll now be their rival.
One day after losing Aqib Talib to the Denver Broncos, it seems as if the Pats and Bill Belichick have upgraded in a huge way with possibly the best corner in the game.
