With the free gent quarterback market staler than many thought it would be, some have begun to once again wonder about the future of Kirk Cousins in Washington. While there were trade rumors earlier in the offseason, the slow quarterback market has not raised the price on Kirk Cousins and the Redskins are still hanging onto him.

The safer bet is to assume that the Redskins will be hanging not him through the entire 2014 season before re-assessing what to do with him.

Per The Washington Post:

"The Washington Redskins remain highly unlikely to trade backup quarterback Kirk Cousins this offseason, a person with knowledge of the situation said.Cousins has maintained that while he would like to start, he wouldn’t demand a trade, and that he would remain professional as a member of the Redskins organization."

Cousins may still move, as the Redskins could get an offer from someone after the draft but that’ s an unlikely case. Washington still values Cousins too much to trade him and that’s not likely to change anytime soon.
