Even with the re-signing of Julian Edelman on Saturday afternoon, the New England Patriots have still been said to be in the market for another wide receiving threat for Tom Brady, and they’re going to explore that option by having a sit-down with former Tennessee Titans star Kenny Britt, according to Ian Rapoport.
WR Kenny Britt, who visited the #Rams today, is heading to New England to visit the #Patriots tomorrow, source says.

It’s clear that the Patriots do need more help at wide receiver than Edelman, and they almost had that complement this week in Steve Smith, until he opted to sign with the Baltimore Ravens as opposed to even visiting with the Pats.
In five NFL seasons, Britt has caught 157 passes for 2,450 yards and 19 scores, however he has also dealt with multiple off-the-field incidents, even dating back to his time with the Rutgers Scarlet Knights.
But, the Patriots organization has made a name for themselves getting project players back together, and a trip to New England might just be what Britt needs to get his career revitalized and headed in the right direction.
