The Dallas Cowboys have some questions to answer on the defensive side of the ball. One way that the team could fill some holes is to move current players around to new positions, but one player who won’t be moving is cornerback Brandon Carr.

According to Cowboys beat writer Todd Archer, while it could be unappealing idea, Dallas will not be moving Carr to safety in 2014.

Per ESPN.com:

"We went through this stuff when Anthony Henry was playing for the Cowboys. They didn’t do it then and I don’t think they will do it with Brandon Carr either. Carr has not shown a willingness to be physical to play the safety spot. And remember, he’s never played it before, so how would we know if he would be an upgrade? Maybe in a pinch they could go there, but I’d be skeptical."

There’s a lot the Cowboys need to do this offseason to fill needs and they’re not making it easier on themselves by cutting guys like DeMarcus Ware.

Moving Carr to safety is an idea, but it’s unlikely to happen.
