NFL Rumors: Patriots trying to trade Danny Amendola for DeSean Jackson?

It’s no secret that the Philadelphia Eagles would be open to parting ways with wide receiver DeSean Jackson.
The Eagles are apparently shopping the veteran receiver and two legitimate Super Bowl contenders, the two teams that lost in their conference championship games, the New England Patriots and San Francisco 49ers have inquired about a trade for Jackson.
Two things: 1. #Eagles love trades & owe it to themselves to listen on a player with that price tag. 2. Pats love to inquire on everyone

With the Patriots re-signing Julian Edelman and signing Brandon LaFell away from the Carolina Panthers, many have speculated about the future of Danny Amendola. He has a rather large and lengthy deal and the Patriots probably wouldn’t mind getting it off of the books, especially if they could get an explosive player like Jackson.
Of course, this is likely just another rumor without any real legs to stand on.
Oh, and for everyone who is dialing up "Amendola and a pick-for-DeSean Jackson" trade scenarios, cut it out right now.

They could get Jackson, but the idea of trading low (Amendola + pick) for an elite player (Jackson) is simply not tethered to reality.

In his first year with the Patriots in 2013, Amendola battled through injuries and played in only 12 games. He had 54 receptions for 633 yards and two touchdowns.
Jackson was fantastic in 2013, making 82 receptions for 1,322 yards and nine touchdowns.
