Now that the Minnesota Vikings have parted ways with Letroy Guion and he has signed with the Green Bay Packers and they will likely not bring back veteran Kevin Williams, who has spent all 11 of his professional seasons with the Vikings, they need depth along their defensive line.
They have already signed New York Giants’ free agent Linval Joseph, a very good player.
Now they have added another defensive lineman.
According to Tom Pelissero of The USA Today, the Vikings have signed New Orleans Saints’ free agent Tom Johnson.

Johnson will fly in tomorrow and take a physical. If he passes, deal's done, I'm told.

The Vikings tried to sign Henry Melton away from one of their NFC North rivals, the Chicago Bears, but he chose to sign with the Dallas Cowboys, so the Vikings pounced on Johnson.
