NFL Rumors: Jared Allen wants close to $10 million per year
By Mike Dyce

The biggest name at defensive end still available on the market is Minnesota Vikings’ Jared Allen. He is reportedly seeking a $10 million dollar per year deal, like the ones DeMarcus Ware and Julius Peppers both received.
I'm told Jared Allen wants close to $10 million per year like DeMarcus Ware and Julius Peppers. Cowboys not interested at that price.

The Cowboys don’t have $10 million in cap space to give Allen that kind of deal, and it was reported on Tuesday that a deal wasn’t likely.
One more Cowboys note: DE Jared Allen unlikely to sign with Dallas after visiting today, per source. Other teams in play. Still developing.

It looks like teams are running out of money to give Allen and he’ll face the decision of going to a team to chase a ring for less money or getting the deal he wants at a team less likely to contend. There is always his threat to retire as well.
