Veteran free agent running back Maurice Jones-Drew hasn’t had any luck finding a new home nearly two weeks into the NFL free agency period, and much of that could be due to his high asking price.

After spending the past two days visiting with the Pittsburgh Steelers before ultimately leaving the Steel City without a contract, reports surfaced that shed some light on just how much money Jones-Drew believes he is worth.

According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, Jones-Drew is currently seeking $3.5 million per year.

Jones-Drew is clearly on the decline and he has very little tread left on his tires, so he will likely need to lower his demands if he wants to land with a team in time to prepare for the 2014 season.
