The Tampa Bay Buccaneers wanted to trade Mike Williams before Sunday night but they want to trade him even more now. While many thought he was a character issue that didn’t mesh with the new Lovie Smith style of doing things, the Bucs wide receiver getting stabbed in his thigh makes the front office like him even less.

So while the Bucs were trying to trade him and want to trade even more know, that whole getting stabbed has really killed any momentum the Bucs had.

There wasn’t a whole lot of momentum going for a Mike Williams trade anyways, so this latest incident doesn’t help. Williams money is guaranteed in 2014, so cutting him would be useless in many ways.

Still, the Bucs clearly want to rid themselves of these issues and cutting Williams may be what it comes down to if they can’t trade him away.
