Fantasy Basketball: Lakers’ Chris Kaman is top streaming option for Tuesday, March 25th

This is the time of the year when fantasy basketball owners need to throw out everything they’ve learned in the the past 21 weeks and focus on the present.
That means adding players you wouldn’t normally take a second glance at.
The Los Angeles Lakers’ Chris Kaman is a fantastic streaming option on Tuesday, and he is one of a few players worth grabbing off your waiver wire who could give you an edge in this week’s matchup.
» Chris Kaman, PF/C, Los Angeles Lakers (8.6 percent owned on ESPN.com): Lakers’ starting center Pau Gasol had a scary moment on Sunday night. He experienced nausea and dizziness, and after being rushed to the hospital, was later diagnosed with vertigo. An MRI on his head came back negative, but he spent the night under a doctor’s care and is expected to undergo more tests on Tuesday. While there has been no official ruling, it’s almost guaranteed that Gasol will sit out Tuesday’s matchup vs. the New York Knicks. Chris Kaman, who started when Gasol was injured earlier in the season, will be the biggest beneficiary of his absence. Kaman is averaging 9.6 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.1 blocks on the season, but in eight starts, the 7-footer is scoring 14.0 points with 9.3 boards and 1.9 blocks. The Knicks are ranked 16th vs. opposing centers over the past month.
» Vince Carter, SG/SF, Dallas Mavericks (25.4 percent owned): Vince Carter is just 92 points away from passing Elgin Baylor for 26th on the NBA’s all-time scoring list. He won’t do it on Tuesday, but he’ll undoubtedly be playing with some motivation. Carter has been playing well in general, averaging 13.2 points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 2.4 3-pointers over his last five games. He even had a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds in Sunday’s overtime loss to the Brooklyn Nets. It was the 37-year-old’s first 2×2 since April 12 of last year. The Mavs’ opponents on Tuesday, the Oklahoma City Thunder, are ranked 22nd vs. opposing shooting guards over the last month.
Other players to consider: Greivis Vasquez – Raptors (35.6 percent), Jarrett Jack – Cavs (53.2 percent), Mo Williams – Blazers (4.9 percent), Kyle O’Quinn – Magic (6.4 percent), Devin Harris – Mavs (0.4 percent), Jordan Hill – Lakers (10.8 percent), Raymond Felton – Knicks (43.1 percent), Samuel Dalembert – Mavs (1.8 percent)
