On Monday, a report surfaced that Golden State Warriors’ head coach Mark Jackson was clashing with one of his assistants, former fan favorite Brain Scalabrine. Rather than work things out, Jackson forced the re-assignment of Scalabrine.

Yahoo’s Adrian Wojnarowski, who reported the news, also explained that Jackson and the Warriors were not discussing an extension even though Jackson has just one year remaining on his contract.

When Jackson was about the situation, he downplayed the situation and stressed that everyone was on the same page in the Warriors’ organization.

“We are excited about what’s taken place up until this point — the culture, the environment with no dysfunction at all,” Jackson told Diamond Leung of InsideBayArea.com Tuesday. “That’s comical.”

Jackson laughed it off.

“I know dysfunction, and that could not be further from the truth,” the Warriors’ third-year coach said. “And if it was true, there’d be more people in the choir singing it.

“That’s entertainment.”

The Warriors will be back in action Friday night when they host the Memphis Grizzlies.
