2014 NFL Draft: Analyst Gil Brandt says Mike Evans has the best hands since Calvin Johnson
By Jack Crosby

Johnny Manziel wasn’t the only Texas A&M product showcasing his skills on Thursday. His top wide receiver target the last two years, Mike Evans, was also giving scouts one last look at what he can do on the field before the NFL Draft gets here. And NFL.com analyst Gil Brandt was so impressed with what he saw from Evans that he believes he has the best hands he’s seen since the best wideout currently in the league, Calvin Johnson.
Mike Evans has the best hands I've seen since Calvin Johnson.

This statement is pretty ironic in the sense that with the 10th overall pick, there is the chance that the Detroit Lions could select Evans and line him up opposite Johnson in their offense, which makes Brandt’s comparison that much scarier to think about.
As of right now, it’s more or less a given that Sammy Watkins will be the first wide receiver taken off the board, and Evans will be immediately after him, and the possibility is real that Evans may soon be one half of the best wide receiving tandem in the league–if Brandt is indeed correct.
