It has been a wild afternoon in the NFL, thanks to the Philadelphia Eagles’ decision to release star wide receiver DeSean Jackson. A report linking Jackson to gang members in California has generated even more interest in the story and put the media storm out in full force, but that doesn’t appear to be scaring teams off from inquiring about Jackson.

Now that he is a free agent, teams are allowed to directly contact Jackson’s agent and begin working out a deal.

If you believed that the reports of his off-field connections would scare teams away, then think again because a handful of teams have already reached out.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, four teams called Jackson’s agent as soon as the news of his release broke:

It will be interesting to see which teams are named in any reports and what type of deal Jackson could get in light of the recent events, but we would have to believe he is not out of work for long.
