DeSean Jackson rumors: New York Jets still interested in potential acquisition
By Jack Crosby

With the release by the Philadelphia Eagles of veteran wide receiver DeSean Jackson on Friday, one of the best receivers in the NFL is on the open market, and is guaranteed to draw a lot of interest. One of the teams that were reported to have been interested in trading with the Eagles when they were shopping him was the New York Jets, and despite the gang affiliation accusations, they are still interested.

Of course, this move began to make even more sense once the team signed Michael Vick a few days ago. While the two played together in Philly, their chemistry together was one of the best in the NFL.
Then, there’s the obvious fact that the Jets need help at the receiver position. Although they brought Eric Decker in, he’s not a proven number-one receiver, which Jackson is.
From this point, though, the only question is how the Jets’ management–or any team’s management for that matter–feels about the allegations brought against the star.
