2014 NFL Free Agency: New York Giants re-sign Mike Patterson
It has been a busy offseason for the New York Giants.
They have kept a few of their own players, like linebackers Spencer Paysinger and Jon Beason. They brought wide receiver Mario Manningham back to the team after a couple of years in San Francisco with the 49ers and have signed the likes of cornerback Walter Thurmond, safety Quintin Demps and made a big splash by agreeing to a contract with cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie.
The team made another move on Monday.
According to the official twitter account of the Giants, they have signed cornerback Zack Bowman and have re-signed one of their own, defensive lineman Mike Patterson.
Patterson was originally drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles with the 31st overall pick in the first round of the 2005 NFL Draft. The former Southern Cal Trojans standout spent the first eight seasons of his career in Philadelphia before joining the New York Giants in the 2013 offseason.
Patterson played in all 16 games and had 23 tackles for the Giants in 2013.
