Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Doug Martin didn’t have the type of 2013 season that he was hoping for, thanks to an injury-ridden campaign that ultimately ended with a torn labrum. However, on Monday Martin and the Buccaneers learned some great news.

The star running back has been cleared from shoulder surgery and will be ready to take the field with the team during offseason workouts.

The news came from none other than the man himself on social media:

Tampa Bay has been making improvements to their roster during free agency, but nothing is as big as getting Martin back.

If he can return to his pre-injury form which led to a 1,454 yard and 11 touchdown campaign in 2012, the Buccaneers will be heading in the right direction.
